Georgia roadway deaths drop in last year

A decline in how many Georgia drivers and passengers lost their lives in 2017 was noted in a report by Georgia DOT and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

Last year’s numbers indicate 1,522 people died on the roads in the state, which was 39 fewer than 2016. Still 2017 ranks as the second-most deadly year for roadway fatalities in Georgia over the past decade. This is the third year since 2013 with more than 1,500 deaths.

Nationally, it’s estimated that more than 4 million Americans were involved in crashes resulting in injuries during the last available data year (2016).

At Ashenden & Hollingsworth, P.C. we are troubled with any loss of life or injury. We want to give Georgia drivers the tools they need to stay safe on the roads in addition to representing parties that have been involved in roadway wrecks.
